MRS. MARY ANN UTECH RITES SET SATURDAY AT METHODIST CHURCH
Mrs. Mary Ann Utech, 85, whose home was at 128 First Ave. NW 64 died at the Brentwood home in LeMars Wednesday after an illness of a year. She had been at the home for 12 days.
Mary Ann Piepenburg was born March 25, 1879, in Wausau, Wis. She was married to William Utech on Dec. 31. 1896, at Wausau. The couple lived in Plymouth county until 1938 when they moved- to Lakefield, Minn., until 1942. From 1942 to 1951 they resided at Worthington, Minn., moving back to LeMars in 1951.
Her parents were the late Ferdinand Piepenburg and Wilhelmina Piepenburg.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:10 a.m. at the First Methodist Church in Le Mars, with Rev. Harold Bartz of the Whitfield Methodist Church in Sioux City, officiating. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors are her children, Edward Utech, LeMars; Mrs. Lillian Pech, Brandon, S. D., Frank Utech, Morris, Minn., Mrs. Mamie Pech, LeMars; Mrs. Margaret Ioos, LeMars; Wesley Utech, Trent, S.D. and Lawrence Utech, Wausau, Wis.
Seventeen grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren also survive. Six grandsons will act as pallbearers.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953, a son, Elmer in 1910, a brother and a sister. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in LeMars.
