JAMES P. COLEMAN

Funeral services for James P. Coleman, 81, longtime Akron area resident who died Thursday night in a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness, will be at 9 a.m. Monday (today) in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Akron, Ia.

Rev. B. Friedman of Hawarden will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Coleman was born January 26, 1876 in Plymouth County and married Catherine Mills December 27, 1916 in Sioux City. The couple lived virtually their entire lives on a farm near here. Mrs. Coleman died in 1950 and Mr. Coleman moved to the nursing home several months ago.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Ferris of Jackson, Mich., and Mrs. Jean Tucker of Akron; two sons, James F. of Chicago and Richard H. of Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Nason of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Alice Bertrand of Detroit, and Mrs. Mollie Campbell of Alcester, S.D.; a brother, Dan of Vallejo, Cal., and six grandchildren.
