CHATSWORTH, Iowa—Ruben Buchmann, 68, of Chatsworth, died Feb. 19 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Hawarden.

Services will be a 2 p.m. Feb. 22 in St. Matthew Lutheran Church at Chatsworth. The Rev. Durwood Clauson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Akron. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Mr. Buchmann was born April 6, 1906, at Freeman, S.D. He married Elfreda Werning March 2, 1930, at Clayton, S.D. The couple farmed at Clayton until 1942 and in the Akron and Hawarden community thereafter. He also engaged in trucking until retiring to Chatsworth in 1971.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Albert of Chatsworth and Harold of Hawarden; three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Lydia) Anderson of Chatsworth, Mrs. Marvin (Esther) Mullinex and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Wood both of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Emory, S.D. and Fred of Freeman, and a sister, Mrs. Edgar Schamber of Yankton, S.D.
