Otto B. Ball, 70, 44 Second Ave. SW, died Friday at his home in LeMars after a two-year illness. Funeral services were today {Monday) at 2 p.m. at St. John American Lutheran church and burial was in LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral home. Rev. Arnold Imbrock and Rev. Paul Tobiason officiated.

He was born Oct. 23,1898, at Ireton to Theodore and Ida (Brandt) Ball. He married Bernice Yates June 3, 1931, at Hawarden. He lived in Hornick before moving to LeMars in 1965 where he operated a cafe before retirement. He was a member of St. Joh n American Lutheran church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Survivors are his wife, Bernice of LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Everett (Evonne) Marsh of Sioux City; a son, Darold of Sioux Falls; three grandsons and three granddaughters; two sisters Mrs. Roy Swanson and Mrs. Sharp Allen, both of Hawarden; two brothers, Ewald of LeMars and John of Pineville, Ore.
