Rites Monday for Remsen contractor

Vincent Muir, 64 Funeral services for Vincent Muir, 64, were held Monday, May 1 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church here. Rt. Rev. Msgr. F. P. Schultes officiated and burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mr. Muir died Friday, April 28 at the Orange City Hospital where he had been a patient one day.

He was born November 11, 1907, at Akron, Iowa, the son of William and Louise Muir. His marriage to Oliva Heissel took place June 16, 1937, at LeMars. Mr. Muir was a well-known building contractor and had lived in Remsen since 1943. Prior to that he had lived at Merrill and Fonda, la

Surviving are his widow, Oliva of Remsen; two sons, Darrell of Boca Raton, Fla. and Gerald of Montreal, CanaŹda; three daughters, Mrs. Terry (Rochelle) Kaitala of Eden Prairie, Minn., Mrs. John (Germaine) Cashman of St Paul, Minn., and Lisa, at home; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Frank Braun of Merrill, la.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Kunkel, Ronald Kunkel, Ronald Baack, Kirk Heissel, Jeffrey Heissel and Elmer Klein. The Fisch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
