Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Heissel, 80, route 2, LeMars died Wednesday at Floyd Valley hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, Merrill, with Rev. Charles Bormann officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, LeMars, under the direction of Luken-Johnson funeral home. Catholic Daughter's rosary will be said at 7:30 and parish rosary at 8 p.m. tonight (Friday).

Elizabeth Mayrose was born Sept. 1, 1889, at Alton, a daughter of the late Barney and Elizabeth (Hockman) Mayrose. She married William Heissel April 2, 1913, at Alton. Mrs. Heissel, a housewife, lived at rural Merrill for 39 years. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic church, St. Mary Guild Altar society, Christian Mothers, and Catholic Daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Survivors are her husband William of Le Mars; three sons, William H., Francis and Cyril V., all of Le Mars; four daughters, Mrs. Orville (Luella) Baack of Le Mars, Mrs. Vince (Olivia) Muir of Remsen, Mrs. Archie (Elizabeth) Singer of Merrill and Mrs. John (Mary) Lihudis of Seattle; a brother, Ben Mairose of LeMars; five sisters, Mrs. Tone (Kate) Duster, Mrs. William (Ann) Kellen and Mrs. Leonard (Ida) Schorg, all of Remsen, Mrs. Frank (Rose) Leckteig of Spencer and Mrs. John (Mary) Leckteig of Sioux Falls.
