Joseph L. Martin

Joseph L. Martin, 81, 1414 Myrtle St. died unexpectedly Wednesday at his home.

Mr. Martin was born May 22, 1885, at Ainsworth, Neb. He married Lea Lower on Jan. 15, 1914, at Le Mars, Iowa.

He also lived near Westfield, Iowa, for several years before moving to Sioux City in 1943. He was employed here by the Cudahy Packing, Co., and the Sioux City Brick & Tile Co. Mrs. Martin died in May 1957.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ronald Ransom and Mrs. Leonard Braum, both of Sioux City,, and Mrs. Jack Boyd of Gering, Neb.; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home, 711 Myrtlle St.

JOSEPH l. MARTIN

Funeral services for Joseph L. Martin, 81, 1313 Myrtle St., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home, 711 Myrtle St. The Rev. Harold V. Bartz of Whitfield Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery at Adaville, Iowa.

Pallbearers will be James Arens, Wilmer Schunneman, Raymond Weidert, Leonard Raun Jr., Lloyd Lawrence and William Broveak.
