Marvin H. Burnett

Marvin H. Burnett, 58, 5309 Highway 75, Lot 136 died Friday at his home after a one-year illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Lutheran Church. The Rev. Grant Quill will officiate. Burial will be in the Adaville (Iowa) Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

Mr. Burnett was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Plymouth County. He married Helen Frances Launsberry on Feb. 19, 1941. They farmed near Hinton, Iowa and Leeds before moving to Sioux City in 1963. He worked for W. A. Klinger Construction Co. for 23 ½ years as a truck driver and the last two years as a warehouseman. He became disabled last July. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and Laborer’s Local 427.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Paul H. of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Joanne) Geddes of Hinton; three sisters, Mrs. Cyus (Fern) Beaulieu of Arvada, Colo., Mrs. Arthur (Velma) Coon of Akron, Iowa and Mrs. Charles (Betty) Pridie of Hinton and seven grandchildren.
