Obituary:
Leo J. Wiltgen, 69, Remsen, died Saturday (May 4,1974) at Floyd Valley hospital after a brief illness. He had been a delivery man for a Sioux City bottling works for 20 years before moving to Remsen 11 years ago. He had been employed as a bartender at Remsen.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church, Remsen, with Msgr. F. P. Schultes officiating. Burial will be in the LeMars city cemetery under direction of the Fisch funeral home, Remsen. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wiltgen was born Nov. 15, 1904, at Ashton. He married Marie Baack Frerichs May 23,1963, at Elk Point.
Survivors are his wife; a step-daughter, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Anthony of LeMars; two step-sons, Edo Frerichs of Jenison, Mich, and Charles Frerichs of Fullerton, Calif. Also a brother, Paul of Sibley; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Burke of Waterloo; Mrs. Lucy Henrichs of Merrill and Mrs. Josephine Voss of Woodstock, Minn.; 13 step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild.
