Dewayne J. Sitzman, 66, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at his residence following a lengthy

illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard Sitzman officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at Merrill, Iowa. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Sitzman was born Aug. 1, 1931, in Hinton, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Alvina (Ruhland) Sitzman. He moved to Sioux City in 1942.

He married JoAnn Dalgliesh on April 19, 1952, in Sioux City.

He was employed with Armour and Company for many years and then with Marian Health Center, retiring in 1991.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Daniel of Sioux City; three daughters, Debra Sitzman and Cindy and her husband, Butch Sperry, all of Sioux City, and Becky and her husband, Troy Sand, of Marcus, Iowa; a brother and his wife, Dennis and Bonnie of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Virginia and Robert Petersen of Merrill, Iowa; and five grandchildren, Tim and Michelle Fertig, Robbie and Kyle Sperry and Cole Sand.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eldon and Darvin.

Pallbearers will be Randy Stabe, Floyd and Jim Sitzman, Gary Petersen, Richard Bauerly and Dale Manning.
