Rex Stoner

Brookings—Rex Stoner, 79, formerly of Sioux Falls, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at the United Retirement Center in Brookings.

Mr. Stoner was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Parker. He graduated from Hurley High School. He married Mildred Oakes in 1950 in Elk Point. He farmed and worked in sales.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Karen Sievers and Kathleen Abrego, both of Lancaster, Calif., and Kristie Riley of Quartz Hills, Calif.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Dean of Sioux Falls.

Graveside services begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery in Akron, Iowa. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Sioux Falls in charge of arrangements.
