MERRILL, Iowa - Clinton "Clint" C. Lindsey, 68, of Merrill died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars with the Rev. Fred Malone officiating. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Sunday until service time at the funeral home.

Clinton Curtis Lindsey was born Dec. 28, 1929 near Merrill, the son of Arthur and Ellen (Lake) Lindsey. He graduated from Liberty Consolidated High School in 1947. He married Janet Daniels on May 17, 1952 at the Merrill United Methodist Church. The couple farmed west of Merrill for several years. He drove for Yoerger Trucking and Wagner Trucking. He also worked several years as a dispatcher for the Plymouth County Communications Center. He was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Jerry Young of Camden Point, Mo., and Danet and John Ketelsen of Sloan, Iowa; two sons, Mike and his wife Marcy, of Merill, and Rick of Merrill; nine grandchildren, Valerie, Travis, Jerry Jr., Carrie, Nicholas, Katie, Emily, David and Drew; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Duane Lindsey of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a sister and her husband, Colleen and Wendell Rhodes of Mesa, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, on Jan. 9, 1998; and a son, Randy in 1976.
