REMSEN, Iowa - Anna Ott, 94, of Remsen died suddenly Tuesday, March 4, 1997, at the Happy Siesta Nursing Home in Remsen.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen, with the Rev. Robert L. Eggers officiating. Burial will be in Remsen City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and a prayer service 7:30 p.m., at the church. Moeller Funeral Home of Remsen is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ott was born Sept. 27, 1902, in Secor, Ill., the daughter of Harm and Grace (Luitjen) Seggerman. She moved to the Remsen area as a child, where she attended rural schools.

She married John William Ott on June 2, 1921, in Remsen. The couple farmed south of Remsen until they retired in 1973, when they moved into Remsen.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was longtime member of the Christ Lutheran Church, where she was a honorary member of the Ladies Aid, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxillary, and the Jolly Bidders Card Club. She enjoyed tatting.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Donald and Vickie of Le Mars, Iowa, Arnold and Colleen of Remsen and Curtis and Doris of Kingsley, Iowa; four sisters, Alma Cherner of Primghar, Iowa, Gloria Potts of Scottsdale, Ariz., Dorothy Dorr of Marcus, Iowa, and Betty Johnson of Archer, Iowa; two brothers, Bob of Marcus, Iowa and Bill of Storm Lake, Iowa; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four sisters, Gertrude Wictor, Carolyn Rexroat, and two in infancy; and three brothers, Herman, Harm and Eilert.
