George Ludwig, 69 Brother of Auditor, Is Dead

George H. Ludwig, 69, a resident of Sioux City since 1944, died Tuesday evening. Mar. 1, at his home after a heart attack.

Mr. Ludwig was born Feb. 22, 1886, in Plymouth county. He farmed there until he moved to Sioux City in 1944.

He was employed by Armour & Co. there, until his retirement the Saturday previous to his death.

Mr. Ludwig married Sophia! Rippke Nov. 26, 1930, at Elk Point, S. D.

Survivors include the widow, Sophia: three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Tool, Mrs: Loretta Behrens and Miss Margaret Ann Ludwig, all of Sioux City; four brothers, Henry of Sioux City, Fritz of Hinton, Herbert of Merrill, and Leonard of Le Mars, who Plymouth county auditor; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Muecke of Hinton and Mrs. Emma Bradstreet of Sioux City.

Funeral services were Friday afternoon at Calvary Lutheran church, Sioux City. Rev. John G. Deterding officiated and burial was in Trinity Lutheran cemetery under the direction of the Heston-Westcott funeral home of Sioux City.
