Mrs. Henry Ludwig
Mrs. Henry Ludwig, 87, Colonial Manor, Kingsley, a former resident of Sioux City, died Thursday morning (Aug. 8, 1974) at her residence after a long illness. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Lutheran church in Sioux City. Rev. Roger E. Klemz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Rademacher cemetery at Hungerford township in Plymouth county, under direction of the Anderson-Perasso funeral home in Sioux City.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Lamonte Hageman. Jim Anderson, Darwin Roberts, Don Waring, Carlie Pittman and Dennis Newberg.
Mrs. Ludwig. the former Marie H. Steffens, was born Jan. 22, 1887, at Holstein, Germany. She came to the United States when she was 6 years old and settled on a farm near Kingsley. Mrs. Ludwig was married Feb. 12, 1908, at Hinton. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran church in Sioux City.
Survivors are her husband who also reside s at Colonial Manor; three daughters, Mrs. Edmund (Erma) Anderson and Mrs. Marvin (Mildred) Hageman, both of Hinton, and Mrs. Marion (Irene) Anderson of Lawton, a sister, Mrs. Alma Steffens of Remsen, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
