Butch Wiltman, 48, dies during outing at Yankton
Wendell () Wiltman, 48, Le Mars, died Friday (July 20, 1979) of an apparent heart attack at his lake cabin in Yankton, S. D. He was taken to Sacred Heart hospital Yankton.
Funeral services were Monday at 2 p.m. at St. John’s American Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Striepe officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.
Mr. Wiltman was born June 10, 1931, in Paullina. He was a longtime Le Mars resident. He married Lil Gruenhagen Sept. 28, 1951, in Worthington, Minn. He worked for 28 years at Plymouth Rural Electric Cooperative. He was maintenance superintendent. He was a member of F. O. Eagles and I.B.E.W. local 231. He was a past member of the Le Mars fire department.
Survivors are his wife, Lil, Le Mars; his mother, Amanda Wiltman, Le Mars; two sons, Kim of Sioux City and Tim of Sergeant Bluff; a brother Darrell of Shelton, Wash., and Mrs. Cecil (Marlene) Staebell, Le Mars, and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
