MARTIN A. MUECKE - COUNTY LANDOWNER AND FARMER IS DEAD AT 71

Rites Set Friday At Hinton Church

Martin A. Muecke, 71, prominent Plymouth county landowner and farm operator near Hinton, died Monday at Sioux City Methodist hospital where he had been hospitalized ll days. He had suffered an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran church near Hinton, with Rev. David Oswald officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Mauer's funeral home.

Mr. Muecke was a lifelong resident of section 8. Lincoln township, where he conducted extensive livestock and grain operations. Mr. Muecke had served as a Plymouth county supervisor from 1949 to 1950, and was a church board trustee of Trinity Lutheran church for a number of years.

Martin August Muecke was born March 17. 1892, in Lincoln township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Muecke. His marriage to Margaret Hardersen took place March 9, 1921, in Sioux City.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret; two brothers and two sisters, Fremont, Harvey, Mrs. August Reidiger and Mrs. Henry Howe, all of Hinton, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother
