MRS. LOWELL CHELLEW DIES AT SIOUX CITY

Mrs. Lowell E. Chellew, 29, Sioux City, the former Joan Elaine Schoenrock, died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of several months.

Joan Elaine Schoenrock was born Sept. 14, 1937, at Merrill. She was graduated from Le Mars Community schools and lived in the Le Mars and Hinton community until 1958. She was also graduated from St. John Lutheran College, Winfield, Kansas.

Her marriage to Mr. Chellew took place Nov. 25, 1960, in Sioux City.

Before her illness she was a teacher at Central Lutheran Church and Mary – Martha circle of that church. She was also a member of Parent-Teacher League at Central School.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. H. H. Schuland officiated and burial was in Memorial Park cemetery under direction of the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home in Morningside.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, Mark and Steve, and a daughter, Debra, all at home; a brother, James Schoenrock of Sioux City and he parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Schoenrock of Brighton, Col., formerly of the Hinton area.
