Last rites were held, July 3, for Frederick Speckmann, aged 85, resident of Plymouth county for the past thirteen years a t Trinity Lutheran church in Lincoln township, Rev. R. J. Torgler officiating. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery at that place.

Frederick Speckmann was born on November 24. 1847, in Lotten, New Stettin, Pomerania, Germany. His parents were Christopher Speckmann and Wilhelmina nee Roeglin. In 1875 Mr. Speckmann emigrated to America, finding a home at Joliet, 111. At this place he was united in marriage to Bertha Warner on January 6, 1882. His wife died in 1915 and a son, William, died in 1918. Since 1920, Mr. Speckmann resided in Plymouth county, making his home at different times with his two sons, Fred and Frank, and a daughter. Mrs. John Muecke., He passed away at the home of his son, Fred Speckmann, near Hinton, July 1.

He leaves to mourn one daughter, Mrs. John Muecke, of Hinton, three sons, Fred, of Hinton, Frank, of Leeds, Herman, of Kankakee, 111., eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild. Mr. Speckmann attained the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 7 days.
