PRESTON FARME DIES SUDDNENLY

Elmer P. Frerichs Is Victim of Heart Attack On Nov. 28

After a two days’ illness from a heart attack, Elmer P. Frerichs, a life-long resident of Preston township, Plymouth County, passed Thursday morning, November 28, at the Akron Hospital, aged 49 years and 26 days.

Elmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ricklef Frerichs, was born November 2, 1914, in Preston Township, Plymouth County, Iowa. On November 30, 1938, he was united in marriage with Arlene Jurgensen and they began farming in Preston Township. Their union was blessed with one son, Kenneth.

Mr. Frerichs was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Preston Township, and the Lutheran Brotherhood. An industrious, upright citizen he was held in high regard by many friends, who extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Irene.

Surviving are his wife, Arlene; a son, Kenneth, and his mother Mrs. Bertha Molzen Frerichs, of rural Akron.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Preston Township, Rev. Conrad C. Guetzlaff officiating, and burial in the church cemetery.
