LaVina Marie Cramlett, of Denver, died of cancer Wednesday, July 26, 2006, in Denver. She was 89.
The daughter of Andrew Jurgensen and Anna Sopia Martsfield Jurgensen, she was born Jan. 14, 1917, in Akron, Iowa. She married Daniel F. Cramlett on Aug. 12, 1943, in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Mrs. Cramlett lived in Boulder from 1956 to 1999.
She earned a teaching degree from Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, and attended the University of Sioux Falls.
She worked as a nurse's aide and at the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1983.
A Sunday school teacher at Grace and Mount Zion Lutheran churches in Boulder, Mrs. Cramlett was an avid reader and recycler.
"She enjoyed sharing her faith with others," her family said.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay DeWarf, of Englewood, and Karen Brauer, of Bennett; one son, Daniel Cramlett, of Grand Junction; two brothers, Arval Jurgensen and Orlan Jurgenson, both of Akron; two sisters, Ellen Tabbert, of Harrisburg, S.D., and Janiece Lawrence, of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion Lutheran Church of Boulder, 1680 Balsam Ave. Mrs. Cramlett's body will be donated to science per her request.
