Kenneth Davis

Kenneth Rory Davis, 37, of Tampa, Florida and formerly of Kingsley, was killed Jan. 6, 1994, in a motorcycle accident at Tampa.

Mr. Davis was born June 19, 1956, at Sioux City, the son of Donald and Arlene (Ahrens) Davis. He graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School, attended Western Iowa Tech Community College and served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Donna Elliott Apri 24, 1984, at Tampa.

Mr. Davis owned and operated an automobile repair shop at Tampa for the last 10 years. He was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife Donna, a son, Adam, and a daughter, Jennifer, both at home; his parents, Donald and Arlene Davis and a sister, Carlyn Rodman, all of Kingsley; a sister—in-law, Sandy Simmers f Salix; four nephews, Chad and Chuck Eberly and Greg and Tim Davis, and two nieces, Katie Rodman and Amanda Simmers’ his father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Betty Elliott of Key West, Florida; brothers-in-law, Mike, Tom, and Steve Elliott of Tampa and Billy Elliott of Orlando, Florida; a sister-in-law, Diane Sobeck of Tampa and their families.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert aura Ahrens; paternal grandparents, William (Blackie) and Reba Davis; a brother, Neil Davis; an aunt, Colleen Ahrens; two uncles, George Ahrens and Bruce Harker; and a niece, Kari Rodman.

Services were held Jan. 11, 1994, at the Florida Funeral Home, Tampa, with Rev. Clark Edwards of the Semiole United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Florida national Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Pallbearers were Steve, Tom, Mike, and Billy Elliott, Larry Soobeck and Orville Collier.
