DEATH SUMMONS CHATSWORTH MAN

Rites Are Held In Hawarden Last Week For Wm. Burnight

William Burnight, of Chatsworth and rural Akron vicinities, passed away Monday morning, December 18, aged 75 years, 7 months, and 18 days, at the Hawarden hospital, where he had been a patient since November 24. He died following a stroke.

Mr. Burnight was born April 30, 1886, on the farm of his pioneer parents, northeast of Akron. He never married. He was a carpenter by trade. He was a member f St. Mary’s parish in Hawarden.

Survivors are two brothers, Charles of Sioux City, and Henry, of Chatsworth; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Gibbons, of Westfield, and a nephew, Ted Burnight, of Hawarden. Requiem mass was said Wednesday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hawarden, Rev. Fr. Leander Friedman officiating, and burial was in the Catholic cemetery there. Pallbearers were Wm. Halvorsen, George Moechlmann, Alber Moehlmann, Wm. McCarthy, Robert Johnannson and Russell Westadt.
