DIED

ADAMS—In Akron, Iowa, Thursday, July 4, 1907, Mrs. William Adams, of peritonitis and complications, aged 25 years and 3 months.

Of unusual sadness was the untimely taking away of this young woman. Married less than a year ago and with an infant daughter to bless the union, life held much to be lived for. She was taken suddenly ill Sunday, June 30, and, although given the best medical attention obtainable and the unremitting care of loved ones, she continued to fail until death brought relief from great suffering at about 1 p.m., July 4th. She was cared for during her last illness at the home of her sister, Mrs. Geo. Schafer.

Frances Burnight Adams was born in Delaware County, Iowa, April 4, 1882. She came to Akron when a baby with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Burnight, Sr., both of whom are deceased, her father having died last Christmas. She had since resided here, except while attending school in Sioux City and St. Francis’ Academy in Council Bluffs. She was a young woman of excellent qualities, beloved by all who knew her. To the bereaved husband, brothers, sisters and other near relatives the community tenders its sympathy.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. D. K. Hurley in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Saturday at 10 a. m., were largely attended. Interment in Akron Catholic Cemetery.
