Peter Moran passed away home just south of town Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. He was born in New Castle, Penn , and was fifty three years old at the time of his death. He came to Plymouth county over 26 years ago and in the early days taught school. He subsequently bought land and was a successful farmer up to the time of his demise.

Mr.Moran was back and forth to his Pennsylvania home and the mountains of the west several times but because of his disease, consumption could find no relief anywhere so returned to his family here last fall and had not been out of the house since but said be came homo to die. Peter Moran was a man of strong convictions, earnest, honest, kindly and thrifty and a man who always made good his word. He was an earnest member of the Catholic church and the new church will be built on his land.

Besides a loving wife he leave to mourn two sons. Robert and John and two daughters, Miss Jennie and Mrs. William Nicholson, all who were at his bedside in his last days.

The funeral took place Thursday at 9 o'clock from the house and the remains were followed by a large number of friends to the church in Maurice. Rev. Father Grady preached an eloquent sermon, speaking most consoling words to the bereaved ones. This family have the sympathy of this community in their hours of trouble.

Death of Peter Moran

Peter Moran died his home near Struble on Tuesday morning at about nine o’clock after a sickness of more than a year of tuberculosis at the age of 53 years. The funeral will be held on Thursday morning starting from the house at 9:30 going to Maurice for the service and he interment will take place at Maurice.
