John J McDougall
John James (Jack) McDougall. 92, LeMars, Plymouth county native and well known retired Struble farmer and horse trainer, died Monday (May 3, 1982) at Floyd Valley hospital. He was hospitalized one day.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home in LeMars. burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery. Rev. James Ransom will officiate.
He was born June 27, 1889, in Plymouth county to James N and Martha Warren McDougall. He and Agnes Werth were married in LeMars June 30, 1920.
Mr.McDougall lived on his farm near Struble from 1920 to 1966 when he retired to LeMars. His wife preceded him in death Oct. 23, 1970.
He raised and trained horses most of his life and was a well known show horseman. He was a 50-year member of Giblem Masonic lodge 322 and Order of Eastern Star.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by a son, Jack D. McDougall, LeMars and nieces and nephews.
