Life’s end

DANIEL KELLEN, 27, VICTIM OF CRASH, TO BE BURIED AT AMES

Funeral services for Daniel Charles Kellen, 27, Boone, formerly of Alton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic church at Ames.

Rev. Melvin Herman will officiate. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal cemetery under the direction of the Stevens funeral home of Ames.

Mr. Kellen was killed in a plane crash near Boone Wednesday.

He was born March 30, 1940, at Alton and was a graduate of Iowa State University. Mr. Kellen married Sandra Nolta March 5, 1966, at Ames.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Jeff; his mother, Mrs. A. W. Kellen of Alton; six brothers, Jerome and Joseph, both of Alton, Arnold of Ames, Lawrence of Le Mars, Louis of Cleveland and Ambrose of Torrance, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvester Hansen of Alton and Mrs. Melvin Ruba of Remsen.
