JAMES ‘JIM’ OVERMAN
James E. ‘Jim’ Overman, 47, of Woodbridge, Va., died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1988, in a hospital in Woodbridge.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. The Rev. A.T. Washington, interim pastor of Mayflower Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Floyd Valley Cemetery, rural Hinton. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Mr. Overman was born Jan. 4, 1941, at Billings, Mont. He married Charlotte E. Schneider in Omaha, Neb. He worked as a Labor Economist for the U.S. Department Bureau of Labor in the Woodbridge, Va., area for two years, prior to that he worked in Detroit, Mich., and Omaha, Neb.
Mr. Overman was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion in Virginia and Elks in Virginia. He served with the U.S. Military in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, the former Charlotte E. Schneider, formerly of Hinton and a sister, Janet Whiteford of Minneapolis.
