WAS A FORMER RESIDENT HERE

Mrs. George Newman, a former resident of this community, passed away in the Hawarden hospital on November 30, [1952], at the age of 70 years. She has been in failing health for several months.

She was born October 6, 1882, at Phair, Kansas, and was united in marriage to George Newman in 1905 at Cedar Rapids. She had been a resident of Plymouth county for 21 years.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Hawarden with the Rev. Bernard Recce, pastor of the Assembly of God at LeMars officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery at Hawarden.

Survivors include her husband, three daughters, four sons, 18 grandchildren and one sister.
