Marjorie Perry, 94, of Le Mars, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars.

Marjorie Helen Perry was born May 8, 1922 in Le Mars, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Kilker) Perry. She attended country school at Fredonia No. 2 School, rural Plymouth County, and later graduated from Le Mars High School.

Following high school, Marjorie continued to live and help her parents on the farm. Marjorie was also a caregiver for her parents later in their lives.

After living on the farm, Marjorie moved to Le Mars. She lived in an apartment before moving to Park Place Estates in Le Mars. Most recently, she had been a resident of Plymouth Manor Care Center.

Marjorie had a strong faith and was a devoted member of Seney United Methodist Church. She was active in all things surrounding the church, whether it was helping with Sunday school, serving in the UMCW, or helping with church projects. She attended Christian Women's Club for many years.

She enjoyed traveling with her brother, Clifford, and his wife, Irene, having taken many trips through the years. She also enjoyed playing cards at the Le Mars Senior Center.

Marjorie also loved to cook and bake.

Survivors include two special friends: Cindy Olson of Le Mars and Jane Pugh of Yankton, South Dakota; and all her friends at the Seney United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother and his wife: Clifford and Irene Perry.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at Seney United Methodist Church in Seney. The Rev. Roger Kurtenbach will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Rexwinkel-Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation will resume from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Marjorie's name to the Seney United Methodist Church.
