Mrs. James Pick Mrs. James Pick, 50, of rural Remsen, died Friday (Sept. 2, 1977) at her home of long illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary Catholic church. Rev. Richard Birdsall officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The rosary was recited Sunday by the Christian Mothers at 3 p.m. and by the parish at 8 p.m. in the Fisch funeral home.
Mrs. Pick, the former Cleo Haupert, was born Nov. 12, 1926, at Granville. She attended Granville grade school and St. Mary high school. She received her teaching degree from Westmar college in 1945 and taught country school at Granville from 1945 to 1948. She was married Jan. 17,1949, at Granville. She was a member of the Christian Mothers at Remsen.
Survivors are her husband; three sons, David at home, Tony of Le Mars and Louis of Sioux City; nine daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Charlotte) Stark and Diann and Joyce, all of Sioux City, and Paula, Marilyn, Lori, Peggy, Lisa and Jamie, all at home; three grandchildren; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Haupert of Remsen; and a brother, Cyril of Granville.
