Anna E. Popken

Mrs. George (Anna) Frerichs Popken of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on July 6, 1956 there. She was 55 years of age and her death was unexpected.

Anna Frerichs was born December 18. 1900 in Grant Township, Plymouth county and lived in this vicinity until ten years ago when she moved to Delaware. She was married in Preston township near Akron to George Popken on July 31, 1923.

Funeral services will be held on 'Thursday, July 12, 1956 at St. John's Lutheran church, Craig, Iowa at 2:00 P. M. with Rev. Donald Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Craig Lutheran cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home in LeMars.

Survivors include her husband, George; A son, Lester of Wilmington: her mother, Mrs. Anna Frerichs of Craig; A brother, F. H. Frerichs of Hawarden and sisters, Mrs. Harm Johnson of Dell Rapids, S. D. and Mrs. Garth Renken of LeMars.

She was preceded in death by her father. Herman and a brother, Harm
