Died. – On Thursday last, at the residence of his son Wallace, in Fredonia Township, Charles N. Winslow died aged sixty eight years and one month. Mr. Winslow was born in Preble, Cortlandt county, New York, but removed to Illinois a number of years since. He had been a great sufferer for at least twenty-five years, spending the greater portion of the past six or seven years in his room, his malady, paralysis, having affected his lower limbs to that extent that he could not stand. Through all of his extreme suffering Mr. Winslow showed a sublime patience, no murmur escaping him at any time. His mourning children, while deeply feeling the loss of a kind father, cannot but say, “our loss is his gain.”

A CARD. We would respectfully tender our thanks to E. Gould and the many other friends who so kindly rendered services to us in our recent bereavement. Wallace Winslow, Augusta Winslow, Frank Winslow, Sarah Winslow, Mary Winslow. – The Iowa Liberal, Wednesday, March 17, 1880, page 1, column 5
