Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anway have the sympathy of the community in the death of their baby boy, Earl, on Tuesday, January 28, 1908, aged 11 months and 24 days.

A severe cold contracted by the little one during the critical time of teething resulted in pneumonia, which soon proved fatal, despite the tenderest care bestowed. He was an unusually bright and loveable babe and his taking away is a sad blow to the parents, into whose hearts he had become so fondly enshrined.

The funeral was at the Christian church yesterday at 2 p.m., was largely attended by friends. Elder J. M. Baker, of Sioux City, delivered the sermon, and W. T. Ratcliffe, pastor of the Christian church, conducted the other services. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Anway has also been quite ill with the grip, but is improving. Her brother, Michael Higgins, came up from Sioux City to attend the baby’s funeral.
