Mrs. John Griep, 74, Moville, died Mach 25, 1974, in a San Diego, Calif. hospital after a 9-day illness. She had been visiting a daughter in LaMesa, Calif.
Services were at 2 p.m. March 29 in the United Methodist church at Moville.
Burial was in memorial park cemetery at Sioux City.
Mrs. Griep, the former Neva Mildred Swanger, was born March 5. 1900 at Danbury. She attended Danbury high school and she was married to E. R. Jones in 1919.
The couple lived in the Danbury and Cherokee communities and she was employed at the mental health institute at Cherokee for about 26 years. Mr.Jones died in January 1956.
She was married to Mr. Griep Dec 29, 1956 and the couple lived at Moville. Mr. Griep died in 1971 at Moville.
Survivors are a son, Richard Jones of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Joyce) Julien of La Mesa and Mrs. Alvin (Mary Lou) Pittman of Kingsley; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
