Arthur R. Wetrosky
Arthur R. Wetrosky, 78, Akron, died (Thursday, March 6, 1975) at the Veterans Administration hospital at St. Cloud, Minn., of a long illness. Services were held Saturday, March 8 at Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. Durwood Clauson officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City under the Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron. Grave side rites were conducted by American Legion Post 241 of LeMars.
Pall bearers were: Roland Swanson, Harold Whiting, Joe Wych, Fay Port, Virgil Smith, and Andrew Brown.
Mr. Wetrosky was born May 3, 1896, near Merrill. He married Clara Buehre August 18, 1921, in Sioux City. They farmed near LeMars for several years. He was a member of American Legion Post 241, LeMars, Sioux Valley Barracks, Veterans of World War I and the Last Man's club.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Duane of Akron; a daughter, Mrs. Marlys Farley of Lincoln, Neb.; three brothers, Frank of Cherokee, Elmer of Beresford, S.D., and Walter of LeMars; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Utesch of LeMars and Mrs. Myron Taylor of Sioux City; ix grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
