Of Akron Dies
At Huron, S.D.

Miss Nellie V. Stoel, 47, member of a well known Akron Family, died March 9 [1939] in a hospital at Huron, S.D. Death was due to an embolism following n operation for internal ulcers.

Nellie Viola Stoel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar A. Stoel, was born in Washington County, Iowa October 28, 1891. In 1894 she came with her parents to Akron, Iowa, where she resided until about 15 years ago when she went to Wessington and had since been employed near there as housekeeper for Roegiest Bros. Previous to that that she was employed in the A. L. Yeaton home in Akron for several years. She was a faithful and dependable worker and was a regular attendant of the Methodist Church and Sunday School.

Miss Stoel leaves to mourn her demise, her brother, Mrs. Mattie Stoel of Akron; two brothers, Jay Stoel of Mojave, Calif. and Paul Stoel of Akron, and one sister, Miss Carrie Stoel of Akron.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Rossow Funeral Home Home with the services in the Akron Methodist church conducted by Rev. J. F. Moore.

Misses Mary Burket and Kathlyn Moore sang hymns. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
