Nick H. Singer Rites At Merrill

Nick H. Singer, 67, lifelong Plymouth county resident and retired Merrill farmer, died Thursday, July 3, at his home in Merrill after two years illness.

Rev. William Carel conducted the funeral service at 9 a.m. Saturday at Assumption Catholic church, Merrill. Burial was in Calvary cemetery here under the direction of Luken's funeral home.

Pallbearers were Richard LaBahn, Howard Knudson, A. W. Hodge, James Mertes, W. F. Heissel and Gordon Brodie.

Mr. Singer was active in a number of community affairs at Merrill. He was a member of the Community club and Izaak Walton league. He served the latter group treasurer for a number of years.

Nick Singer was born Aug. 21, 1890, in Plymouth county. His marriage to Lucille Tucker took place Nov. 16, 1915, at Merrill.

His wife survives as do two sons, Archie of Merrill and Marvin of Le Mars; a brother, Ray of Merrill and one granddaughter, Barbara.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clem.
