Velma P. Coon

Velma P. Coon, 74, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Akron, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at Porter Hospice, in Aurora, Colorado.

Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Calvary Assembly of God Church, in Sioux Falls, S. D. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Mrs. Coons was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Hinton, Iowa. She married Arthur L. Coon on Feb. 22, 1947, in Elk Point, S. D. The couple were longtime residents of Akron, unitl moving to Boise in 1979. She attended Calvary First Assembly of God Church in Boise and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Akron, where she sreved as Past WorthY Matron.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter and her husband, Lynne and David Wagner of Aurora, Colo.; two sons and their wives, Roger and Lola of Sioux Falls and Arthur and Barbara of Kennewick, Wash.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Ella) Pridie of Hinton, Iowa.
