Herman Andresen, 73, longtime Akron resident died Monday, June 30, at the Akron hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. Harris Hostager officiating. Military rites were conducted by the Hoschler post 186, American Legion. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home.
Mr. Andresen was born July 15, 1895, in Union county. He married Hilda Schmidt Feb. 16, 1922, at Akron. He farmed in Union county near Akron until he retired to Akron in 1948. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Raymond, Akron, And Delmer, Dallas; three stepbrothers, Fred, Andresen, Akron; Andrew Andresen, Hawarden, and Charley Andresen, Fargo, and five grandchildren.
Casket bearers were: Wayne Andresen, Dwayne Erks, Lu Vois Schmidt, Donald Schmidt, Virgil Frerichs, and Dallas Rounds.
