Lois Milbrodt
Lois Milbrodt, 68, of Sleepy Eye, Minn., died Sept. 25, 1993, at the Sioux Valley Hospital in New Ulm, Minn.
Services were held Sept. 29, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church in Sleepy Eye, Minn. Pastor Joel Leyrer officiated. Burial was in the Home Cemetery at Sleep Eye, under direction of the O'Hare-Strum funeral home in Sleepy Eye.
Pallbearers were Mark Lang, Brent Lang, Jeremy Lang, Davie Milbrodt, Steven McInnis and Jonathon Milbrodt.
Lois Milbrodt, the former Lois McInnis, was born July 3, 1925, at Akron, Iowa, the daughter of John and Marie (Jepsen) McInnis. She married William M. Milbrodt Oct. 1, 1944, at Akron. She was a homemaker, teacher and worked at the Hearld-Dispatch as a bookkeeper. They lived in Akron, Ia., moving to Sleepy Eye in 1957, to Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1971, returning to Sleepy Eye in 1992.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church in Sleepy Eye, and a former member of Salem Lutheran church in Colorado Springs.
She was member of the American Legion auxiliary for many years, and a past president, and was a life member of the VFW auxiliary and a Gold Star Mother. She enjoyed visiting with and helping friends, her family and reading.
Survivors include her mother, Marie McInnis of Akron; a son and his wife, Joseph and dEborah Milbrodt of Colorado Springs; a daughter and her husband, Linda and Ken Lang of Springfield, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Mark and wife, Lisa Lang, Sioux Falls, S. D.; Brent and Jeremy Lang, Springield; Gerald, Timothy, Michael and stephanie Milbrodt, Colorado Springs; two great-grandchildren, Ashely and Zachery Lang of Sioux Falls; a brother and his wife, Jack and Doris Milbrodt (actually McInnis) of Westfield, Ia. and a sister and her husband, Joan and Jerry Blake of Issaquah, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, William in 1991; and a son, Gerald Milbrodt in 1968.
