George L. Simek
George L. Simek, 69, 1105 28th St., Sioux City, died Tuesday, March 28 in a Sioux City hospital.
Funeral serives were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 31 in st. Patrick's Catholic church, Akron with Rev. James bruch officiating. Burial was in st. Joseph cemetery, under the direction of Schroeder funeral home.
Casket bearers were: David Dierks, Robert Dvorak, GAry Simek, Jim Leyden, Dennis Feauto, and Dennis Leyden.
Mr. Simek was born Oct. 8, 1908, at Geddes, S. D. He married Elizabeth Hlavac Jan 19, 1932, at Scotland, S. D., They moved to a farm near Akron in 1942. In 1966, they moved to Sioux City, where Simek had been employed by the Florence Crittenton home.
Survivors include the wodow; a son, Eugene of Bellevue, Neb.; two daughters, Mrs. Orville (Marlene) feauto of Hawarden, and Mrs. Myron (Marie) Dierks, of Chatsworth; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Frank of Omaha, Harry, Raymond and Clarence of rockford, Ill., and William of Tyndall, S. D.; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Welfl of Tabor, S. D., and Miss Christine Simek and Mrs. Helen Svoboda, borth of Schuyler, Neb., and Mrs. Marie Dvorak of Norfold, Neb.
