DEATH COMES TO MRS. M. ANDERSON

Rites Are Held Here Wednesday For Former Akron Resident

Mrs. Mary Anderson, of Sioux City, a former resident of Akron, died in a city hospital Sunday night, after a month's illness, at the age of 77 years and 2 months.

Mary Myers was born in Idle, England, July 28 1872, the daughter of Frererick and Caroline Myers. She came to the United States with her parents in 1893. She was united in marriage with John W. Anderson, of Akron, in 1908, and a son, Race was born to this union. Her husband preceded her in death in 1932. She continued to reside in Akron until her health began to fail, and since then has lived with her son, Race of Sioux City, and her stepson, Arthur Anderson, of Hawarden.

Mrs. Anderson was a devoted wife and mother and a good neighbor and held in high respect by many friends.

Left to mourn her departure are one son, Race, of Sioux City; two stepsons, Arthur Anderson, of Hawarden, Iowa and Herbert Anderson, of Trent, S. D.; a brother James Myers, of Los angeles, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Akron, conducted by Rev. S. D. Huff, of Sioux City. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
