Note: His mother's maiden name of McIntosh and he was born in 1910. His wife's maiden name was Jenkins.

MELVIN BENSLEY, 56, DIES IN NEW ORLEANS

Melvin Leland Bensley, 56, New Orleans, former Le Mars resident, died following a heart attack at his home last Thursday evening. The family left here 10 years ago.

Relatives said Mr. Bensley had been in ill health for a year, but that he worked at his regular employment Thursday.

Funeral services were held Monday with burial in Leesburg, N. C. Schoen funeral home in New Orleans was in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are his wife, Rose of New Orleans; one son, John of Ida Grove; three daughters, Mrs. William (Joan) Schultz of Merrill, Mrs. Dolores Lansford of Eldon College, N. C., and Mrs. John (Caroline) Morris of New Orleans. There are 10 grandchildren and two sisters, June Vander Schaaf of Akron and Mary Kelly of Sioux City, also surviving.

Mrs. Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. John Bensley attended funeral services.
