John Kenneth Vander Schaaf Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John K. VanderSchaaf, Fountain, Colo., died 19 days after birth Sept. 22 at Fort Carson, Colo. He died Oct. 11.

His father formerly of Westfield, is stationed at Fort Carson with the second mechanized battalion, 133rd infantry.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Le Mars Memorial cemeter. Rev. Dean Orris, pastor of Westisde Church of Christ at Akron will officiate. Burkemier funeral home, Sioux city, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his parents; a sister, Dianne, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. VanderSchaaf, Westfield, and Mr. and Mrs. John J. Meyer, Honolulu.
