Henry Buehre, Sr., Dies; Rites Friday
Henry Buehre, Sr., 86, died at his home at 121 4th Ave. SW Tuesday, Nov. 17, after a week's illness.
Rev. M. L. Straube will conduct funeral services friday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church. Burial will be in the Plymouth Presbyterian cemetery, Johnson township.
Mr. Buehre was born Oct. 13, 1867, at Crown Point, Ind. He came to this vicinity as ayoung man, and farmed in Johnson township until 1917 when he retired and moved to Le Mars.
His marriage to Lucy Miller took place here Oct. 30, 1888. She preceded him in death as did two brothers and two sisters, John, Otto, Mrs. Minnie Klemme and Mrs. Anna Segert.
Survivors include a son, H. O. Buehre of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Emma) Susemihl of Le Mars and Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Wetrosky of Akron; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Louis Elting of Oak Park, Ind.
Fridnds may call at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home from 1 p.m. Wednesday until Thursday noon, and at the residence after 1 p.m. Thursday until service time.
