DEATH COMES TO EARLY DAY RESIDENT HERE
Last Rites For Mrs. Hans Willer Are Held Thursday Afternoon

Mrs. Hans Willer, a resident of this community for forty-six years, died at her home, east of Akron, Tuesday morning, June 25, 1946, after a six month’s illness, at the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 10 days.

Cecelia Heitman was born near Keystone, Benton county, Iowa, February 15, 1872, the daughter of John and Lena Heitman. She grew to womanhood there and married Hans Willer, March 11, 1892. They farmed in that community for eight years and then moved near Akron. After three years they bought the farm which has been her home ever since.

Mrs. Willer was a very quiet, unassuming woman, but her influence was felt in the community. People knew her as a woman who ruled her family with kindness and she had the devotion of children to the end.

Mr. and Mrs. Willer were privileged to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary in 1942. On August 16 of that same year, Mr. Willer preceded her in death.

Surviving are the six sons and three daughters: Henry Willer, Mrs. Lena Papritz, Mrs. Anna Hasenbank, Ed., George Julius, Ted and Louise Willer, all of Akron. There are thirteen grandchildren; also, one sister and one brother, Mrs. Maria Albertsen and Louis Heitman, both of Keystone, Iowa, along with other relatives and many friends. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon of last week in Immanuel English Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. D. J. Roy . Hymns were sung by a male quartet comprised of Clifford Johnson, Arden Johnson, Bob Shoulberg and Harry Nelson. The Pallbearers were Wyatt Heyl, Lowell Taylor, H. Shoulberg, W. P. Tucker, Wm. Jammerthal and Frank Smith. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.

Relatives who came from a distance to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Heitman, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Heitman, Mrs. Marie Albertsen, Mrs. Ewald Albertsen, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Feuerbach, Mr. and Mrs. John Junge, Harry Junge, Mary Selken, Mrs. Herman Fecklenberg, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Gulstrof, all of Keystone, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Janss, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs. Len Johnson, of Blairstown, Iowa; John Lahn, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lahn and son, John of Belle Plaine, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Heitman, of Dysart, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Junge, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Junge, of Elberson, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Garber, of Van Horne, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Hecht, of Hardwick, Minn.; Nick Willer of Pipestone, Minn.; Mrs. Kate Heitman, Mary Scherner and Olinda Shields, of Remsen, Iowa.
