Mrs. Ross Christy died at her home in this city Monday after a long and painful illness.

Maude Alice Butler was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Butler and was born May 14, 1880, in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. When six years old she came with her parents to Le mars.

She was united in marriage with Ross Christy in Le Mars December 4, 1902, and lived subsequently in Sioux City, Vermillion, S. D., and Le mars.

She is survived by her husband, Ross Christy, four brothers and two sisters, George, Frank, and Roy, of Sioux City, William Butler, of Madison, S. D., Mrs. Elmer Burkeen and Mrs. Henry Haight of Sioux City.

Two brothers, John and Harley Butler, well known Le Mars residents, preceded her in death.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Mauer Funeral Home with Rev. S. A. Jones, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be made in the city cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nate Gearke, John Hammer, Hans Hansen, John Hart, Arnold Patterson and Fay Terpenning.
