Death entered the Max Utesch home in Washington township this week and took the head of the household and the eldest son. Both were victims of influenza and pneumonia

August William Utesch, the son on Tuesday. He was born on March 6, 1902, and lived all his life at the home farm.

His father, Max Utesch passed away early yesterday morning. He was born in Illinois on march 26, 1876 and came to LeMars with his parents. He following farming all his life.

He married to Miss Tillie Null and survived him as well as the following children: Viola, Tillie, Hannah, Minnie, Lillie, Max and Harry. He is survived by his parents, Mrs and Mrs. August Utesch of his area, his brothers Paul, Charles, Albert, and his sister, Mrs. Fred Jans and Mrs. Frank Jans living in Minnesota.

The funeral of the father and son will be held on Sunday afternoon at the home and the interment in the Johnson township cemetery.
