Her many friends in Akron vicinity were grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. Caroline Myers at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Anderson, in Vermillion, S. D., on Saturday morning, November 2, 1920, at 11:15 a.m., after an extended illness, at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 7 days.

Mrs. Caroling Myers was born in Bradford England, June 18, 1844, where she grew to womanhood and was married to Fred Myers. To this union eight children were born, four of whom are living: Mrs. Iver Knudson, of Sioux City, Ia.; Mrs. Jack Anderson, of Vermillion, S. D.; James Myers, of Akron, Ia., and Mrs. Albert Kennedy, of Grindstone S. D.

Mrs. Myers united with the Baptist church in Idle, Englnad in 1883, and when coming to America in 1893 united with the Baptist church in Akron, of which she had been a faithful member ever since.

Mrs. Myers was a registerd nurse in England and was one of the first to win the St. John's Ambulance Medal. she was one of the furst nurses in Akron and iwth patience and loving hands she labored in many of the homes that are yet in Akron. About two years ago she moved to Vermillion with her daughter, Mrs. Jack Anderson.

Mrs. Myers was a kind and devoted wife and mother and a helpful sympathetic friend and neighbor, always ready and willing to aid and assist those in trouble or distress. her life was filed with usefulness and good works. The world was made better and brighter for her having lived in it. Her husband preceded her in death here in Akron several years ago.

Besides her children, she leaves ten grandchildren and two great-grancchildren, as well as a host of friends and relatives to mourn her departure.

The remains arrived here from Vermillion yesterday forenoon. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Carl Hammer in the Baptist church that afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment was beside her husband in Riverside Cemetery.
